LFKRI’s Dr. Lustigman Receives New NIH Supplement Award
Congratulations to Dr. Sara Lustigman, Head of Laboratory of Molecular Parasitology, for receiving an NIH Supplement Award for the U01 grant entitled, “Enhancing Potency of the MERS Vaccine by a Novel ASP-1+alum Adjuvant Combination.” Collaborating institution for this one-year Supplement Award, which totals just over $200,000, is the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. NYBC will receive $100,000.
The proposed Supplement research program will leverage cutting-edge technologies including novel epigenetic and transcriptome analysis platforms to dissect the basic pathways regulating immunological response to new adjuvanted MERS vaccine formulations which are currently being developed as part of the funded U01 grant by LFKRI scientists Drs. Lustigman, Jiang, and Du.
